Why natural resources are vanishing?

Increasing human population has lead to increased demands of the resources. By the time our needs enormously increased this led to a situation where the non-renewable resources may come to an end in near future.

There are several examples of the problems created by over-exploitation of natural resources. For instance, in some areas, there is a scarcity of water for agriculture whereas in other areas the field get flooded due to excessive irrigation. Similarly large scale deforestation on hills causes floods in plains. These are serious issues. There must be some balance between our demands and availability of natural resources.

In recent years, Government and several non-government organisations have taken step to educate people about the importance of natural resources and sustainable development. Several rules have been laid down to check over-exploitation of natural resources.
