What is cyclone

Cyclone is a circular air movement that rotates around a strong centre of low pressure. Most cyclone create fast winds and heavy rain. Cyclone, typhoon or hurricanes form when convection causes warm, moist air above the ocean to rise.

Cyclone tauktae

Tauktae '(pronounced as tau 'Te) name given by Myanmar means highly vocal lizard.

Cyclone tauktae on Sunday intensified into a "very severe cyclonic storm" in East Central Arabian sea. It is very likely to intensify father during the next 12 hours, and reach the cost of Gujarat today (may 17) 

States which are affected by the cyclone are Maharashtra, Kerala,Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Goa, Lakshadweep and Daman and Diu.

An estimated 1.5 lakh people are being shifted from low line coastal areas in Gujarat. Tauktae will reach the state coast on monday evening and cross it on early Tuesday morning. The wind speed is expected 175 km per/hour at the time of Landfall.
