1. People Pushers

Subway and train station get very crowded during rush hours that's why the station workers and Part time workers push people inside trains to fit as many passengers as possible Before the door close.



2. Millions of vending  machine

Japan has more than 5 million of vending machines, mostly because they save time for people who work late hours, which is common thing in Japan. These vending machines are not only for snacks and soda, you can buy basically anything from lobster to clothes.



3. Water saving sinks

They're located right over the toilet tanks, first you wash your hands over the sink, then it goes to the tank, finally this water is used in flush. It really saves huge amount of water, I think this technology should be use in every country.


4. Cleaning classrooms

In many japanese schools students use to clean their classrooms, they mop their classrooms and hallways, do dusting, and even clean the bathrooms. According to teachers, it's great way to raise responsible citizens.



5. Square watermelons

Are you ever seen a square watermelon, if no go to Japan, they were invented in the '70s by a graphic designer to fit compactly in the fridge and be cut more easily. Japanese farmers grow them in special containers to get the shape. Since they're very expensive people don't buy them as  food but rather as a decorative item.

Japan is a densely Populated country, they don't like to waste space. To save parking space they have a smart parking system, they're designed like multi-level garages.

Train delays is very unusual thing in Japan, train station do everything possible to avoid a delay. If a train is five minutes late, the railway company might have to issue a delay certificate for workers and passengers who missed a important meeting or who arrived late to his work because of delay and if delay is longer than an hour, then railway company might give an official apology in newspapers.


9. Naps at work

In Japanese culture taking a nap at the workplace considered a sign of hard-working person who is very committed to his job. That's why a nap while working is so common here and no one thinks it's a bad thing.



10. Blue traffic light

They use blue colour instead of green for traffic light. The reason behind this is hidden in their language historically, there was only one word for both colours. When traffic light first appeared in the country, they were green as anywhere else, but that green colour was called blue. To make things right government decided to use the blue colour instead of green colour.
